My hand flicks across the page As my heart races The lines are sketched quickly Drawing maybe faces Maybe I'll portray a woman Her face strong and free Maybe I'll create a meadow A breathtaking sight to see My mind stains the page Expressing my feeling The colors soak the paper A sort of spiritual healing The pen dances on the blank canvas Telling a story to anyone who will listen The pen seems to weep Its black tears begin to glisten Drawing is to creating As dusk is to night So when my pen touches paper In my heart it feels right.
